Provider Survey |
STUDY TITLE: Investigating the Unique Balance Between Fidelity and Flexibility in Early Intervention
VCU INVESTIGATORS: Rebecca Molinini, PhD, Post-doctoral Scholar; Christine Spence, PhD, Associate Professor
As an early interventionist (EI), you are invited to participate in a research study looking at how early intervention providers make decisions about service delivery. In this survey, we use EI to mean Part C Early Intervention. We are asking direct service providers (Developmental Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Therapist) to complete the survey. If you are a service coordinator and also provide direct services, please answer the questions from your direct service role perspective.
In this research study, you will be asked to complete an online survey. The survey is divided into 4 sections: demographic and social questions, family centeredness of intervention, activities completed during intervention, and the impact of social determinants of health on service delivery.
You are eligible to participate if you are a direct service provider currently working at least 50% in EI.
Your participation in this study is voluntary and your identity will not be disclosed. Your employment in EI will not be affected by your choice to participate or not participate in this study. Your colleagues and supervisors will not know if you participated in the study or your responses. Data gathered from this study will be combined with other participant's responses and analyzed as a group. Results from this study will be shared in aggregate form and all identifying information will be removed.
This survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You can complete the survey on a computer or phone. If using a phone - it may be best to put the phone in landscape (on its side), this will let you easily see all answer choices. You can skip any question or exit the survey at any time. If you do not complete the survey in one sitting, please save the code and link provided when you exit in order to return to the survey - do not begin a new survey.
If you complete at least 85% of the survey, you are eligible to receive a $20 e-gift card as a thank you for your time and input. In order to receive the gift card, you will need to share your email address at the end of the survey. If you do not want to link your email to your survey responses, you can choose not to provide your email address - but then we will not be able to send you the gift card.
If you have any questions about the study, please contact the study team at ECResearch@vcu.edu or Christine Spence at spencecm@vcu.edu.
Thank you!
