Program Information
The Cancer Prevention and Control and Cancer Health Equity (CPC-CHE) fellowship aligns and integrates with multidisciplinary cancer research efforts throughout Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center (Massey) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center.
The CPC-CHE fellowship will provide training for postdoctoral and pre-doctoral fellows for 1-2 years, offering a comprehensive educational experience that prepares fellows for successful, independent research careers in the broad area of CPC-CHE science.
CPC-CHE fellows will have access to shared resource laboratories and state-of-the-art biomedical technologies, including: flow cytometry, transgenic/knock-out mouse models, cancer mouse models, tissue acquisition and analysis, microscopy, biostatistics, bioinformatics, and proteomics.
Eligibility Criteria
Pre-doctoral Requirements
- Currently enrolled in graduate programs at VCU
- Be a U.S. citizen or have a verifiable status as a permanent resident
Post-doctoral Requirements
- Have a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited domestic or foreign educational institution
- Be a U.S. citizen or have a verifiable status as a permanent resident
