Inclusion Project Competitive Incentives Application |
Inclusion Project Competitive Incentives Proposal
The Partnership for People with Disabilities invites applications for competitive incentives to support inclusion-focused initiatives in Virginia's K-12 public schools. These grants will fund activities that:
-
Increase awareness of disability history, contributions, and culture.
-
Foster meaningful relationships between students with and without disabilities.
This is an opportunity for schools to develop and implement their own Inclusion Project that promotes a more inclusive school environment.
Application Criteria
To be considered, applications must meet the following criteria:
-
Student Involvement: The project must be conceptualized with direct input from students with disabilities and co-developed by students with and without disabilities.
-
Clear Alignment: Activities should be clearly linked to specific short- and long-term outcomes.
-
Defined Roles: The application must identify school staff, faculty, and student participants, along with their specific roles in planning and executing the project.
-
Detailed Budget: Applicants may request $500-$1,000, with a budget breakdown specifying how funds will be used (e.g., supplies, materials, printing, mailing, travel) and a justification for each expense.
We encourage innovative and student-driven initiatives that promote inclusivity and meaningful engagement.
Applications will be reviewed by Inclusion Project Youth Leaders. They will choose which applications are awarded.
