Virginia Opioid Abatement Community Needs Assessment Survey
AAA
The Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority (OAA) is partnering with the Wright Regional Center for Clinical and Translational Research at Virginia Commonwealth University to help understand and address the opioid epidemic in Virginia's cities and counties.
Through a statewide survey of healthcare, governmental, and community organizations, we hope to identify gaps and barriers in the treatment system, the mismatch between outstanding needs and available resources, and opportunities to improve the quality and coordination of services.
Because your work intersects with the substance use treatment system, we invite you to participate in this effort. Your feedback will directly influence the development of an opioid abatement toolkit and regional strategies to enhance community response.
The survey contains 28 questions and should take 25-30 minutes to complete.
The survey covers four areas of interest:
The type of services your organization provides and the challenges it faces.
The availability of opioid-related resources, gaps in service, and barriers to care in your local community.
What additional resources and tools you think are needed for improvement.
The unique needs of pregnant and postpartum women and their children.
Any questions or comments about the survey can be directed to Dr. E. Marshall Brooks at edward.brooks@vcuhealth.org.
